Howl about decorating your garage this Halloween?

Halloween is near! If you need some ideas to make your home stand out from your neighbors’, do not fear. Rather than just decorating your yard like the rest of the houses on your street, take advantage of the potential your garage space has to offer! Check out these ideas for how to turn your garage into a spooky haunted house for those who dare to enter, or for the faint of heart, just a cozy autumn-themed re-treat. ☠🖤

Make your parking space scary

Head to the hardware store to get some plywood planks. Hammer them together to create a hallway or tunnel effect at the entrance to the garage. Hang black tarp or material over the framework, add some flickering lights and spooky music and voila! Decorate with your favorite gruesome ghouls and black lights and you’ll have a scary haunted house for people to walk through and test their bravery.

Brave the grave

Want to not scare trick-or-treaters too badly? Add some cobblestone decals or draw them yourself with chalk leading up your driveway to create a crumbling cemetery path. Switch off the lights in your garage, line it with tombstones and decorate with fake cobwebs and skeletons so trick-or-treaters feel like they’re walking through a graveyard on their way to get their candy.

Create an autumn-themed maze

Halloween doesn’t have to be spooky, and you can just embrace the beautiful fall season. Grab some corn stalks to decorate with (or create a mini corn maze) and place some jack-o’-lanterns lit up by tea lights around the space. 🎃 Get a bale of hay to sit a scarecrow on with a bowl of candy in its lap.
