Innovation and growth are essential to the success of any company and both are something we know a lot about at OfferPad, as 2017 has been a year of significant evolution for us.
Our expansion into Atlanta and Charlotte has given us a presence in eight markets, with plans to launch in additional cities in the coming months. We’ve expanded our offerings through customer-focused technology, with Instant Access and Agent-on-Demand, allowing home buyers to self-tour homes on their own schedule and purchase homes without an agent.
We recently announced our partnership with Carlsbad, Calif.-based loanDepot, the second-largest non-bank consumer lender in the country, to create OfferPad Home Loans, which provides customized mortgage financing solutions for our customers.
Such rapid growth has created the need to add some dynamic new individuals to our marketing and operations departments.
In addition to welcoming Matt Bohn as chief operating officer and Cortney Read as director of communications and outreach, we welcome Darrin Shamo to our leadership team.
Shamo comes to OfferPad from DoorDash, where he was responsible for growing the company’s presence. Darrin spent more than a decade at Zappos, in which time, he grew the company $70 million, to $3.6 billion. He is the former chief marketing officer at Coupang, a Seoul, South Korea-based startup, where he oversaw acquisition and retention, as well as pricing and fraud practices, within the company. He brings with him a wealth experience and will be responsible for driving local and national growth, as well as brand awareness.
Shamo says, “In 2018, we’ll continue to focus on market expansion and brand awareness, which will ultimately improve and refine the value we bring to our customers.”
