Offerpad is proud to provide Instant Access to all homebuyers and agents and understands that self-touring homes may be new to you, so we wanted to share some safety tips to help you on your journey. For your safety, please follow federal, state and local guidelines around protecting yourself from COVID-19 infection. For additional information, please visit www.coronavirus.gov.

Tip #1 – Check, please!

Always let people know where you’re going and when to call you to check-in. Or better yet, bring someone with you! They may provide a valuable perspective (or just make it more fun)!

Tip #2 – Know thy neighbor(hood)

Research the area and be aware of your surroundings. Good intel on the neighborhood will keep you safe and help you know if this is the home for you.

Tip #3 – Get up with the apps

There are many personal security and safety apps available in the marketplace. A smart option to have no matter the situation – check out your Apple and Android options.

Tip #4 – Keep your cell phone close

Outside of being able to tell your mom all about the home or even call us with any questions, having your cell on you at all times is critical in case of an emergency.

Tip #5 – Shed some light on the subject!

When you tour the property, make sure that you turn on lights and open blinds. This not only allows you to see all aspects of the home properly, it also enhances everyone’s safety.

Tip #6 – Park smart

If you’re self-touring at night, park in a well-lit spot where you can’t be blocked in. Good advice all the time.

Tip # 7 – Call 9-1-1 if you need to

Trust your gut. If something doesn’t seem safe, avoid it. If you have an emergency, call 9-1-1.

We hope you find these tips helpful regardless of how you search for your home. Stay safe!
