Get to know Yasmine, Jason, and James

Offerpad is a company that puts people first. Just as we value our home buyers and sellers (did we mention that Offerpad won five Stevie Awards for customer service?), we take immense pride in our employees. It takes a lot of smart, capable, and driven individuals to run a leading startup — everywhere you look, Offerpad is full of them.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work here? From time to time, we like to bring you behind the scenes at Offerpad and introduce some of our amazing Offerpad family. World, we’d like you to meet our friends Yasmine, Jason, and James.

Meet Yasmine Mollings, Offerpad national vendor manager.

The first thing you should probably know about Yasmine is that she’s a great mom. Utterly devoted to her 19-year-old and 9-year-old kids, most of her time goes toward giving them the best shot at life possible.

Offerpad never shies away from actively recognizing someone’s hard work and offering them the opportunity to advance.”

Even as a busy parent, Yasmine finds time to indulge her other passions. An avid strength trainer, Yasmine felt it was important to set the right example for her daughter — she wanted to show her that just because you wear mascara and pretty clothes you could still be a formidable arm wrestler. She also loves to travel — throw a dart at the map and Yasmine has probably been there. “Seeing the world is the most humbling experience anyone could have,” says Yasmine. “When you realize how little our micro-bubble of a world we live in is compared to the vastness of the rest of the world. It’s pretty cool.”

Yasmine was initially drawn to Offerpad through a close friend who worked there. “He seemed so happy and was doing well,” said Yasmine. “So, I told him the next time an opportunity came up to let me know.” With the startup rapidly growing and expanding into new markets, it didn’t take long for that day to arrive. After an initial interview, Yasmine was hired on and quickly displayed her talents — in the span of a year, she rose from her early entry-level position to become Offerpad’s National Vendor Manager. “Offerpad never shies away from actively recognizing someone’s hard work and offering them the opportunity to advance,” Yasmine said.

Yasmine’s primary role at Offerpad nowadays is developing vendor relations — a tall order for a company looking to shake up a long-rooted industry in real estate. “Nurturing our vendor relations is important to me because we couldn’t do what we do as a company without their support, hard work and loyalty. So, it makes perfect sense to have a liaison
within Offerpad to maintain that relationship.”

Apart from setting a great example to her kids, Yasmine is a model case for the types of opportunities available to the people who make up our team — as we continue to grow and expand our consumer-driven vision for real estate to new markets, the sky is the limit in terms of career potential.

Thanks for being a valuable member of our family in Tampa, Yasmine!

Meet Jason Rogers, Offerpad software engineer.

Avid hiker/biker, philosophy enthusiast, part-time drummer and full-time steward to an adorable pup named ‘Dude’, Jason is an Offerpad technology guru who started with the company back in 2017.

This is probably the only job I’ve ever gone around bragging to my friends bragging about working at.”

Things were different back then. Like a kid constantly hitting new growth spurts and filling out their clothes, Jason remembers a time when the Offerpad’s former headquarters — spanning 12,000 square feet — hardly had space to accommodate his burgeoning department. Now, with a new headquarters installed in sunny Chandler, AZ and plenty of room to grow as one of the country’s leading iBuyers, Jason has grown accustomed to seeing his team around the office. Describing that first morning after the move, coming in and seeing everyone, Jason said, “It was awesome. It just made me smile.”

With technology at the core of Offerpad’s service, Jason has long played an integral role in the company’s rise. Early on, any time Offerpad introduced a new market, Jason helped round up the necessary MLS data. Eventually, Jason moved over to the Web team where he had a direct hand in shaping the Offerpad customer experience and working among company stakeholders. Describing the responsibilities involved, Jason said, “It was basically the face of the organization. When people request an offer for their home or buy from Offerpad, I was able to have a hand in all of those experiences.”

What does Jason enjoy about working here? “The family atmosphere here and the teamwork. I think they go hand in hand.” He added, “This is probably the only job I’ve ever gone around bragging to my friends bragging about working at.”

When Jason is out of the office, you can probably find him making his own snacks and treats for Dude — his 6.5-year-old boxer-pit mix pup. Just in time for the season, Jason shared his recipe for Pumpkin Delight Treats — perfect for the pooch in your life.

Ingredient list:

  • 2 cups ground oatmeal
  • 1 15 oz can of pumpkin
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ground pumpkin seeds
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Blend the ingredients (see below list) together, use a dog treat mold to shape treats, and bake them at 300 degrees for 3.5 to 4 hrs (less or more depending on how soft/crunchy your dog prefers). Allow the treats to cool and enjoy!

Meet James Grout, Offerpad VP of finance.

Brand new father to a bright-eyed baby girl and one-time go-kart teambuilding champion, James is a financial savant who has been with Offerpad for the past year.

Coming from a position at Intel, a multinational company known for its technological innovation, James is prone to thinking in numbers. “When I think about a business, I think about it in terms of a balance sheet and PNL,” said James. “When I look at this building,” James continued, referring to Offerpad’s 40,000 square foot national HQ in Chandler, “I think about what it takes in order to make something like this happen.”

It takes a lot of hard work to stay at the forefront of this competitive industry — James knows that firsthand. From day to day, he’s coordinating transactions with the closing team or crunching the financial figures to assess the company’s performance.

If you’re looking for an abbreviated history on Offerpad, James is a good person to ask. One of his key responsibilities involves sitting down with potential investors from time to time, telling the company’s story and forecasting where things are heading. In the world of startups, securing new funding is utterly essential — fortunately for us, we have talented tacticians like James in our corner.

The culture at Offerpad is fantastic.”

Coming from a giant corporation like Intel, James described the startup environment at Offerpad like “stepping into the Wild West,” adding, “It’s much more trailblazing here — figuring out what you need to do.”

Despite its challenges, helping plot the course for one of the industry’s leading startups has been a very gratifying experience for James. “The culture at Offerpad is fantastic,” he said.

We wholeheartedly agree — thanks to people like you, James!
