New poll suggests larger number of homeowners open to iBuying to relieve the stress of selling a home

That was the question posed to homeowners who were presented with the option of selling their home to an iBuyer for an instant cash offer or selling it the traditional way with an agent.
And guess what?
While 62 percent answered “Getting the absolute highest price possible” was their top goal, a significant 38 percent valued simplicity, speed and certainty over getting more money for their home.
A recent survey conducted by real estate marketing firm 1000watt, “Your money or your life: How homeowners see iBuying,” found that people just don’t want to deal with the hassles, headaches and disruption of their lives that come with choosing the traditional home sale route. In fact, 77 percent of those surveyed said they’d “probably” or “maybe” be willing to take 5-10 percent less for their home to avoid the hassle of a traditional sale in favor of the convenience and certainty of an instant cash offer. The survey also noted that iBuyers like Offerpad are solving a real problem for home sellers – the stress of a traditional sale. More than 70 percent of those surveyed said the experience of selling their home was either “stressful” or “very stressful,” with the biggest stressors caused by “having strangers in my home for showings/open houses.”
